Girl, you need to have girls friends!

Every girl needs to have a group of her girlfriends. Its an imperial part of a girl’s life. Plan meetings with your girlfriends. Unravel yourself. Spill out the beans. Share the secrets never said before. Take off the load from your shoulders and just be yourself. These are friends which will help you find yourself. They pass on the unsaid or un-documented learnings and experiences. Which is very exclusive to the women’s only club.

I have seen women let go of themselves. When the drinks are flowing and the music is at the blast, women let go off the burden. Its just a mode of exit for the emotions piled up with in. In a typical Indian culture, women suppress themselves from expressing themselves and doing things as per their way.

Find women who inspire you. Motivate you. Trust me they are not rare. I am writing this in a cab on my way home, late night on the streets of Mumbai, after having an amazing night with my girlfriends from office and downing couple of drinks. The talks that we had, I cannot mention it here. And yes, its possible to find real friendship in corporate. I am not lucky, I am a real person, not pretending, and my friends also are real. One needs to choose and pick your company.

Of all the relationships in the world, girls friendship has a different charm. It has the magic to take off the load from your shoulder and tell you that what you are going through is just a miniscule of an inconvenience compared to the larger good experiences of life. One cannot learn this in any institution or in any book, its learned and taught through experience. And to gain this experience you need to find people that resonate with you. To do this, you need to first find yourself and know what you are and then likewise people will be attracted to you.

Your girlfriends are your cushion for life. They will nourish you emotionally, motivate you and also kick your ass if needed. They help you to be break the monotonous routine and be you once a while.
